Dilemma

We offer hybrid teaching: we have students in class and a meeting link for students at home (who are ill). In this situation it is more difficult to check if the students at home have understood the lessons, or that they have missed some essential issues.

In what ways did you respond to this dilemma

To support learning, I organised a digital half hour of consulting time. Students were free to join, there was no obligation. I would not come up with extra information, I was just there to answer questions. If nobody showed up in fifteen minutes, I left the meeting.

What are the implications for teaching and learning now that the pandemic is not closing schools

Digital moments to offer extra possibilities for consultation. I keep organising this half hour of digital consultation before an assessment.
